Types Of Zirconia Crowns
Dentists frequently prefer framework zirconia and full-contour zirconia for dental work. They are both suitable replacements for porcelain-metal composites and full-metal blends. Framework zirconia is advantageous for anterior and posterior multi-unit bridges. It almost appears to be a natural tooth. Monolithic Zirconia crowns are best suited for full-contour zirconia crowns.
Solid Zirconia - It is the toughest zirconia and can easily withstand chewing pressure. They are most commonly used after a root canal treatment and provide excellent support. It is used in the fabrication of posterior crowns for back teeth.
High Translucent Zirconia - It easily resembles tooth color. This block has more strength than other dental blocks but less than solid zirconia.
